Tekst w Bardo nawiązuje do sformułowania „drop off body and mind” („odpadanie ciała i umysłu”), użytego przez mistrza Zen Roshiego Kwonga w celu opisu istoty praktyki Zen. Jest to wyjątkowe nagranie na tle całego materiału, ponieważ oprócz ciemności jest w nim też światło i wielka nadzieja. Utwór leżący pomiędzy awangardowymi Lavender Brown i Feldman’s Voicing Resonance zaskakuje – tym razem smyczkowa aranżacja i melodyjna prostota. The lyrics in Bardo refers to the phrase “drop off body and mind” used by Zen master Roshi Kwong to describe the essence of Zen practice. It is a unique recording compared to the rest of the material, because in addition to the darkness there is also light and great hope. Lying between the avant-garde Lavender Brown and Feldman’s Voicing Resonance, the piece surprises – this time with its string arrangement and melodic simplicity. What remains unchanged, however, is the sincerity and uncompromisingness that underlies Mai Laura’s ideals.
